2021-22 Season EuroLeague Stats Dashboard

This article contains the stats for the EuroLeague 2021-22 season that I have been able to collect and calculate myself. The stats listed will be updated continuously. All content is PC recommended.

Now, let me show you how to use this Dashboard.

There are two sections here, Team stats and Player stats.

Team stats

About the "Team Overview" tab

Summary: This part shows the team's Offense Rating (points per 100 possessions), Defense Rating (Opponent points per 100 possessions) and Net Rating (Points differential per 100 possessions) . In addition, Exp-Wins calculated by Net Rating are shown. However, the word "Expected" does not mean prediction. From a data analysis point of view, Net Rating is a more accurate way to evaluate the strength of team than its actual Wins. It still shows the pace of each team. It does not mean that they are good or bad. It only represents a team's style. The colored area is the league ranking for each stat.

Four Factors: Four Factors is a basic concept of basketball data analysis invented by Dean Oliver, which expresses the quality of offense in terms of eFG% (shooting) and FTr (free throws), and the quantity of offense in terms of TOV% (turnovers) and OREB% (rebounds). The Four Factors is a quick way to understand a team's offensive style. The colored area is the league ranking for each stat. You can switch to the defensive side with the filter at the top.

Shooting: This part shows the team's shooting stats. I was going to create a shooting distribution by location on the court, but unfortunately, EuroLeague has no public shotlog stats, so I've simply shown 2PT, 3PT and FT. I think the amount of 3PT or percentage of attempts is also important information. The colored area is the league ranking for each stat. You can switch to the defensive side with the filter at the top.

About the "Team Traditional" tab

This tab shows the general Boxscore stats, but with three types of presentation : Per Game, Total and Per 100 poss. You can use the filters to get the results you need. You can also rank the players according to their stats.

Player Stats

About the "Player Overall" tab

This is the part of the site that I am personally most proud of, where I select the stats that I think are the most important in evaluating a player, and show their stats in percentiles compared to the same position.

Overview: This part shows basic information about the player. BPM is an all-in-one metric created by Daniel Myres that allows you to rate a player's offense and defense based on boxscore, meaning "how many net points per 100 possessions a player gets when he's on the court. Furthermore, winning contributions can be quantified using VORP.

Offense Overview: This is a summary of the offensive performance of a player. It shows not only the individual scoring load and efficiency, but also assists, passing tendencies, and turnovers. The colored areas show the results in comparison to the same position player. The numbers mean that you are better than X% of your position players. Players who played less than 50 minutes will not be compared.

Shooting Accuracy: This part shows the player's 2PT, 3PT and free throw accuracy. I've also listed the eFG%, which is adjusted by the 2PT and 3PT. I was going to create a shooting distribution by location on the court, but unfortunately EuroLeague has no public shotlog stats. The colored areas are the results compared to the same position players. Players who have less than 20 attempts will not be compared.

Shooting Frequency : This part shows the number of 2PT, 3PT and free throw attempts of a player. So you can see the players' shooting tendencies. For comparison, the numbers shown here are the stats per 100 possessions. The colored areas are the results compared to the same position players. Players who played less than 50 minutes will not be compared.

Defense and Rebounding: Literally, this shows the defensive stats and offensive rebounds. The colored areas show the results compared to the same position players. Players who played less than 50 minutes will not be compared.
